Welcome to Bryn Awel Manor!

Bryn Awel Manor is a family owned and operated wedding venue in Southern Chester County. The property is meticulously managed by the Skopowski family. As a family, we take pride in hosting only a select number of weddings per year, specializing in exclusive and intimate affairs.
The property is 38 acres of stunning and secluded countryside. It is a few minutes away from main roads that are connected to Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Located only ten minutes away from the University of Delaware, fifteen minutes away from the quaint town of Kennett Square, and an hour away from Philadelphia. This venue is easily accessible, yet secluded for a unique and peaceful experience.
OUR VENUE
Situated on the property is a regal 1730’s stone manor house, a modernized 1800’s stone bank barn, original spring house, and charming pond and fountain. Included is a mature tree lined property and rolling pastoral hills as a backdrop.
Bryn Awel Manor retains its historic charm as an original 250 acre parcel from the William Penn Land Grant. Benjamin Franklin was instrumental in purchasing the property to form the new Pennsylvania Land Company. The property gets its name from early settlers who called it Bryn Awel which means breezy hill in Welsh.
BARN & CEREMONY
The 1800’s bank barn is two stories with rustic charm, elegant decor and modern amenities. It can comfortably accommodate up to 135 guests. The barn is complete with air conditioning and heat, for a comfortable event all year round.
The main level of the barn is a stately open space with vaulted ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and exposed stone. The space includes a stage which can be used for entertainment or to showcase the bridal party. The space even has a baby grand piano that can be used upon request for accompaniment during dinner. A large, full functioning bar invites guest to enjoy drinks throughout the event.
The lower level of the barn showcases the beautiful outdoors with panoramic windows that brighten the entire space. With light tile floors and unique original stone support columns, this space has splendor and elegance. You will also find another bar and doors that open to exterior patios on either side making this space perfect for cocktail hour. On this level there is also a fully equipped prep kitchen and private bathroom for the catering staff. Inside the barn we have a beautiful bridal suite and sitting room for you, your bridal party, and family to relax and get ready for your special day. In the manor house we have sectioned off the historic study, guest room and bathroom to be used as the groom’s suite. With a large parking lot, bathrooms on both floors of the barn, and three attached patios; the property is easily accessible and accommodating for all your guests.
If you plan on having your ceremony on the property, there are several locations to pick from and a large trellis available for an elegant outdoor ceremony.
